Conference Line Up

Saturday 17 june 2023

Ivana Ruddock-Lange Ivana will be opening the conference with one of her special, not to be missed, lectures. This is a pre-recorded video since Ivana lives in New Zealand. Whether considering the areas of influence affecting our animals, or explaining the bigger picture of what is going on beneath the skin, her audiences are in awe of the information she has to share.  It is through her dedication and research beyond ET that she is able to consider complicated cases from a new perspective.

Monica Andréewitch – Softness Training Brought up in Caracas, Venezuela, Monica developed her love of horses in a natural, free and spontaneous environment of the family’s weekend home in very rustic countryside. Monica has created and now runs her own Softness Training platform, helping people help their horses by teaching her “Happy Horse Trilogy”, an interesting combination of what horses “really need”, how horses communicate and how horses learn. This is what her talk will be about.

Debbie Busby – Equine agency and consent to be treated Debbie is a Registered Clinical Equine Behaviourist, running her successful international Evolution Equine Behaviour consultancy since 2006 and consulting and lecturing internationally, including as expert witness in legal cases. In her talk Debbie will address how we can make sure that the horses we treat are comfortable to receive physical therapy treatment? How to set up the treatment space to provide choice? How to optimise the horse’s decision to receive treatment whilst paying attention to their emotional state? The interaction between health and behaviour as it relates to Equine Touch therapy.

Hilary Vernon – Bitting Hilary has over the last 20 years worked as a full time Bitting Clinician travelling over the U.K and parts of Europe lecturing and demonstrating the art of Bits and Bitting. Hilary will talk about Bitting in general and specifically how the bit can    affect connections throughout the whole body.

Sunday 18 june 2023

Neill Saunders – How to assess movement in horses Neill was originally working as a chiropractor when he heard about and attended Jock and Ivana’s classes in Equine Touch and began to incorporate it into his work. In his talk Neill will explain the methodology he developed over years to understand why a horse moves in a certain way and what impinges motion.

Jo Fernandes – “Fascia Facelifts” Jo is our head VHT instructor and a VHT practitioner. She is also a Doctor of Cymatics and Bioenergetic Medicine, a hypnotherapist, trained in TCM, Neuro Coaching, Radionics and Somatic Healing amongst others. Her talk will be in two parts. In the first Jo will explain what “Fascia Facelifts” means and how to use them with your clients, especilly those who suffer from conditions like Parkinson’s or Alzheimers. The second part will be an interactive session with exercises for the audience.

Olivia Pollard – Ride with your mind Session One will be an introduction to what Olivia herself calls the A, B, Cs of riding and the impact this can have on us and the horse. Session Two - barriers to learning - for us and the horses.

Suz Crichton-Stuart - The whole horse inside and out  Suz is both a student of movement and an Equine Bodyworker. The last 16 years of inquisitive study have led to qualifications in Equine Touch, Craniosacral therapy, Reiki and French classical dressage. Suz is going to talk about some factors of the internal environment which can have just a big an impact causing recurrent areas of tension. Welcome to a whistle stop tour of the organs and nervous system.
